Spring has sprung in Cote Saint-Luc and the volunteer Citizens on Patrol Electric Scooter Brigade has hit the road. The inaugural patrol took place this weekend with Supervisor Mitchell Herf and vCOP Coordinator and Public Safety Councillor Glenn J. Nashen.
Not only did they enjoy the leisurely patrol together, they also politely informed two residents that dogs are not permitted in parks & playgrounds, offered up a band-aid to a youngster who scraped her knee in Trudeau Park and radioed for assistance from Public Security when a resident flagged them down to help return a lost dog.
And in keeping with Cote Saint-Luc’s innovative approach the patrol did not emit any pollution as the scooters in use are all-electric.
If you are interested in joining vCOP, be it for scooter patrolling, foot patrol or vehicle patrol, an information session will be held on Tuesday April 12 at 7:00p.m. at City Hall. Click here for more information.
