Patient is loaded onto ambulance after being hit by a bus at Kildare Road and Cavendish Blvd.

A couple of crashes occurred along Cavendish Blvd. in the last days.  On Tuesday afternoon a woman crossing the intersection of Kildare and Cavendish was struck by a city bus. Fortunately she only sustained light injuries. Emergency responders rushed to the scene from the fire department, police department (it was in front of Station 9), public security, EMS, Urgences Santé and the Montreal Transit Corporation.

As this commotion was playing out a second accident occurred between two vehicles just steps away. Firefighters, ambulance techs and EMS stabilized the female driver’s neck and back to prepare her for transport to hospital.

Meanwhile, traffic quickly backed up in both directions of Cavendish and Kildare as the intersection became congested with emergency vehicles. Through traffic ground to a halt for several minutes.
