The Maisons Fleuries contest winners, and all those who beautify their properties, were thanked by the Council of the City of Cote Saint-Luc last week. Contest winners were presented with certificates and photos of their award winning entries at an event held at the Aquatics and Community Centre.

We are so fortunate to live in a city where neighbours go to great lengths to make their property look as nice as possible. This effort, in fact, beautifies not only their own property but the entire neighbourhood.

I’ve often thanked my own neighbour for maintaining such a beautiful garden as I, looking out from my front windows, benefit from it even more than she does. I hope I repay the favour by planting my own flowers each spring.

So congratulations to all the winners and to all the residents of CSL who create beautiful gardens. Spring isn’t that far off so might as well start planning now!
