Familiar Face in CSL: Josiane Ouaknine retires after 34 years

Au revoir and best of luck to one long time employee of the City of Cote Saint-Luc, Josiane Ouaknine, who is retiring as a municipal employee after 34 years of dedicated service.

“I”ve known Josiane for as long as I’ve been with the city,” commented Acting Mayor Dida Berku. “She is  very much a part of the fabric of the place and no matter where she worked she made that department more sunny and bright.  Her smile and good nature were trademarks. We will miss her and we know the residents will  too.”

Josiane has worked in many departments:  Finance,  Archives, Urban Planning, EMS, Public Safety, Purchasing, the  Aquatic and Community Centre as well as in the Office of the Mayor and City Councillors. Over the last few years she has been the person to greet members of the public at City Hall, directing them to the right office as well as answering questions by phone.

Councillor Ruth Kovac said,”We will miss your smile.”
I too have known Josiane for all 34 years of her career. She always had a kind word and a big smile. All the best for continued good health and happiness, Josiane. I hope we will continue to see you “around the Luc” and maybe you’ll even come back as a volunteer! We can always use another ear-to-ear smiling volunteer with vCOP.
Enjoy every moment and thank you very much for your dedicated service.
