Chef Anthony Housefather prepares the Thanksgiving Turkey
His multifaceted interests in American politics, culinary skill and having a good time made for an excellent excuse to celebrate American Thanksgiving in Cote Saint-Luc.
Anthony, as he prefers to be called, cooked a massive turkey and invited over close friends for a rather unorthodox cultural gathering – at least north of the 49th parallel.
Good friends, good food and good wine were all that was needed to give thanks around Anthony’s dinner table this evening. From Cote Saint-Luc to our American neighbours – Happy Thanksgiving.

The man with many talents, some hidden, some not, some personal, some professional – but all good. He seems very comfortable and confident in those oven mitts reaching into the oven. And that exemplifies the ease he has when it comes to dealing with the “heat” which presents itself in the form of decisions and problems as a Mayor. As the turkey was “well done” – so are Anthony’s accomplishments. Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Mayor!

He prefers to be called Anthony? He insisted that I adress him only as “your lordship” or “mister mayor”. Ha! Just kidding -Anthony is an all around great guy and for someone with so many talents is suprisingly humble and outgoing. The people of cote St-Luc are very wise to have elected him again as mayor.
